For the past few years, I have been experimenting with container gardening on my balcony. Most plants have been grown in self-watering containers and I will be publishing some pictures of which plants did well. By the time I am finished there should be plenty of information here on how to start your own balcony garden, as well as personal stories and book reviews.

The vegetable pages list the varieties that are suitable for container growing and tell you which size container to use. I will be adding more pages soon.

A good book to buy if you’re using self-watering containers is Incredible Vegetables From Self-Watering Containers by Edward C. Smith.
